Music (and the music world) is constantly evolving….
Over the past two years, I’ve taken on an impossible task…to build an entire music licensing service from the ground up. Why? Because we saw a rapidly expanding trend in the music industry. More and more clients had less time and money to develop original music for commercials, and were calling sometimes the night before, to ask ‘what do you have in your library?’ So, we dove into the music library world. We started with a handful of composers and bands that we knew. We learned about metadata, artist relations, publishing, managers and a thousand other things. We created promos, redesigned websites, created countless playlists and artist spotlights and everything else you can imagine. Oh and sales. After 2 years, The Robot Repair Music Collection has grown to over 150 indie bands, up-and-coming composers and other artists to make their work available to content creators quickly and affordably. So far, The Robot Repair Music Collection has secured syncs for artists like Alexander Lewis, Kenny Segal, Super Duper up-and-coming LA artist, Krane. And I’ve had very little sleep.
